The Feast of the Annunciation celebrated in style at St. Peters’ Church Nsambya.
Mass began at 10 o’clock. The main Celebrant was the Chaplain of the Miraculous Medal Rev.Fr. Gerard Mpanju who first defined the day by saying that ‘’ The Feast of the Annunciation, March 25, is one of the most important in the church calendar. It celebrates the actual incarnation of our Savior the word made flesh in the womb of His Mother Mary and it has two main things:
1. God’s action in entering the human as Jesus in order to save humanity. As Christians we experience this through our Baptism.
2. Humanity’s willing acceptance of Gods’ action in Marys’ freely given acceptance of the task of being of the Mother of God.
After his preaching he enrolled Five new members in a Devotion of the Miraculous Medal and the Chairperson of this Devotion Mr. Lawrence Mukasa welcomed new members and informed them that Devotions helps us to grow spiritually and urged them to contribute subscription fee which has done great work to support the seminarian.
More than 100 people attended the mass celebration.
