We participated in another Inter-Secondary School Prayer Day on 26th/9/2015 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Gayaza.
The programme started at 10am with praise and worship conducted by Holy Cross Family Ministries worship team.
500 students from different schools turned up for the function,this happens every term.
A 30 minutes talk on counseling was given on to the students by team Ojambo Christopher as a way of comforting them to gain confidence before going for counseling. Why is it necessary for one to release the pain he has in order to be free and move on with life? That was one of the questions that were asked to the participants.
We called upon them to be open and share their pains to us so that we find solutions to them, through prayer and Mother Mary’s intercession.
During the prayer moment, Fr. Jude Ssemakula urged students to always acknowledge their challenges and problems before the Lord so that they receive healing.
Fr. Jude also prayed for the candidates (senior four and senior six) students who are about to write their examinations in October and November.
Holy Cross Family Ministries distributed more than 500 Rosaries and 300 Peyton Prayer Cards to the participants and emphasized them to trust prayer especially the Rosary Prayer because it works.
