Holy Cross Family Ministries Kampala participated in the bible Trivia at St. Joseph’s Nagalama.
The theme of the day was ‘’Thy word is the lamp unto my feet and a light unto my Path’’ (Psalms: 119:105).
This Bible Trivia is an event that’s held every year. It’s organized by the Bible club in this school.
Our participation in evangelization was through ice breakers that were in form of skits and songs.
The event was held at the school campus and 4 classes participated. The candidate classes were exempted from this, because they are preparing to write their final examinations.
More than 700 students participated.
Five participants represented each class and eight questions were asked. Aspects like audibility and smartness were put into consideration to come up to a total of 100 points.
Questions that were asked where selected from gospels of:
St. Mark – In which form did the Holy Spirit descend on Jesus at His baptism? (Mark 1:10).
Prophet Elijah- What does the name Emmanuel mean? (Mathew 1:23)
Prophet Jeremiah- How Long was Jeremiah prophet of Israel?
The chaplain of the school Rev.Fr.Wasswa Vicent said that these activities help students understand their faith especially in this world that is infested with immorality.
He commended our team for the skits we acted because they brought out the message. ‘’ But each one is tempered when by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed’’. (James 1:14)
Fr. Wasswa further more thanked Holy Cross Family Ministries for spreading the name of Mother Mary and also educating students about the prayer of the Holy Rosary.
