Children ministry at Tripple ”p”Mukono:
It was on 4th March 2016, a Friday morning at around 8:30 am that we started our journey to Mukono for a children ministry at Tripple ‘’P’’Nursery and Primary School in Mukono District.
We reached the school premises at around 11am, and received a warm welcome from the pupils and their teachers.
This school is a catholic based school and it has at least 400 pupils.
We started the program with praise and worship conducted by our worship team plus some few school choir members.
After that, Desire Ssenabulya taught the children how to pray and how to conduct themselves in these remaining days of Lent, in order to receive God’s mercy and salvation.
She also taught the children how to humble themselves before God, how to pray and also encouraged them to pray together as a family at home.
She asked them the daily prayers they have, and each pupil who answered got a gift from us. The best got t-shirts and others got rosaries and candies.
Desire encouraged the children to conduct themselves well especially in this season of lent, to pray every day, fast and be merciful to others.
We distributed 200 rosaries to the children and the Director of the school, Mrs. Virginia Mugyenyi was happy and promised us to start up a rosary club in her school.
We wrapped up the program with the Eucharist celebration led by Fr. Benjamin Lubega from St. Paul Catholic Parish Mukono.
In his homily, he urged the children to love God just like the way he loves us. Fr. Benjamin added that our love for God can be shown through prayer, our faith in Him, worshiping and adoring Him always.
He also called them upon to pray, fast and be merciful to others especially in this Lenten period.
