We participated in the Children Rosary Rally at Kyarusozi Parish (Holy Cross Parish) found in Fort portal Region. This was organized by our team that side.
During the month of Mother Mary we hold these rallies in all the 5 regions, to bring the awareness of the Blessed virgin to the Primary school children.
Around 1000 primary school children from different 21 schools and 56 teachers attended the rally.
The theme of the day was'' Do whatever He tells you to do"(John 2:5).
A Marian Procession with band matching from the parish to and fro Kyarusozi town council graced the function.
Among the activities of the day were; Songs, Skits, poems and reciting of the Holy Rosary. The function was crowned by the Holy mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Mukasa Francis, CSC from Saaka Novitiate.
The Guest of Honor was the Director of Holy Cross Family Ministries,Rev. Fr.Leonard Olobo, CSC who encouraged the children to put more pressure on their parents to pray together as a family as per the saying of Servant of God Fr.Patrick Peyton – ''The Family That Prays Together Stays Together'' and ''The World at Prayer is The World at Peace''.
He also said that the rosary rallies have not started today, the Servant of God Fr.Patrick Peyton CSC held many crusades and emphasized people to pray the Holy Rosary together as a family,it's good to emulate his works today.
Fr.Leonard further more thanked the teachers for bringing in the children in big numbers to make the function colourful.
