We had a collaborative ministry with St. Peters Catholic Parish on 31st October 2015, as we were closing the month of the Holy Rosary at Mother Mary’s grotto at Nsambya Parish premises.
At least 400 Christians participated, and the catholic schools around also participated.
We started with Marian songs which were led by our worship team, followed by a talk from Mrs. Paula (Guest speaker), about the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
After the talk, Christians were given a chance to ask questions about the Holy Rosary and they were answered accordingly by the priests and religious leaders who were around.
Confessions, reciting of the Holy Rosary and the litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary were also among the activities.
We distributed 400 Rosaries to the Christians who came for the function and we encouraged them to pray their Rosaries every day, trust Mother Mary in all their challenges, she intercedes for us to Jesus.
We emphasized them to pray together as a family because ''A Family That Prays Together Stays Together''.
The function was crowned by the Holy Mass presided over by Fr. John Fedelis Kibombo (organizer), helped by other priests including our Director, Fr. Leonard Olobo CSC, and our team led songs throughout the mass celebrations.
In his homily, Fr. Fedelis emphasized Christians to take a leaf from Mother Mary, Her heart, so beautiful, so pure, and so immaculate. Her heart so full of love and humility, that they may be able to receive Jesus in the bread of life.
