Pentecost is the Christian festival celebrating the descent of the Holy Spirit on the disciples of Jesus after his Ascension, held on the seventh Sunday after Easter.
Often churches will hold confirmations and baptisms on Pentecost, honoring the symbolism of the church’s beginning. Confirmation usually involves a teenager making a profession of their faith and becoming a member of their church.
''Go to the world and proclaim the Good News to the people….said His Eminence Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala in his homily at Bugonga Parish,Entebbe Deanary where he gave 528 children the Sacrament of Confermation.

On this special day let us have this prayer:
We pray that the Holy Spirit
may bring peace and unity to all mankind.
Almighty and ever-living God,you fulfilled the Easter promise by sending us your Holy Spirit.
May that Spirit unite the races and nations on earth
to proclaim your glory.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
