“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest, says the Lord.” Mt 11
Lord, in most of our families there are grandparents and other elderly relatives. Some live with us and some live alone on their own. Some are even in nursing homes and not surrounded by the love they deserve. Help us to recognize that these elders are a treasure. They have given us life, blessed us with their labors and taught us by their example. They are not disposable. May we listen to them with the ears of our hearts. Help us see in them the richness, peace and gentleness they have to share with us. We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
