Biblical Reasons to be Thankful for Jesus

Jesus is love.

''I loved you as the Father loved me. Now remain in my love''. John 15:9

Jesus left heaven and became human.

“For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will. For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in Him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.” John 6:38,40

Jesus shows us who God is.

''Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through Him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth''. Colossians 1:15–16

Jesus died for our sins.

''Christ Himself suffered for sins once. He was not guilty, but He suffered for those who are guilty to bring you to God. His body was killed, but He was made alive in the Spirit''. 1 Peter 3:18

Jesus freed us from legalism.

''So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law''. Galatians 5:1

Jesus hears our prayers.

''With Jesus as our high priest, we can feel free to come before God’s throne where there is grace. There we receive mercy and kindness to help us when we need it''. Hebrews 4:16

Jesus prays for us.

''Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us''. Romans 8:34

Jesus gives strength.

''Jesus will keep you strong until the end so that there will be no wrong in you on the day our Lord Jesus Christ comes again''. 1 Corinthians 1:8

Jesus is Truth.

Jesus answered, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me. John 14:6

The law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17

Jesus is peace.

''Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus''. Philippians 4:7

Jesus will never stop loving you and me.

''Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? 25 Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord''. Romans 7:24–25

Jesus gives victory.

''But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ''. 1 Corinthians 15:57

Jesus is preparing a place in heaven for us.

''There are many rooms in my Father’s house; I would not tell you this if it were not true. I am going there to prepare a place for you''. John 14:2

Jesus will never leave us.

“And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

Jesus will return for us.

''After I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you may be where I am''. John 14:3
