Standing the test of time

Our team, visited the family of Mr. and Mrs. Mutesasira of Kabalagala, a Kampala suburb.
On 2nd June 2016, they received a shock of their son-in -law William Buluma, being crushed to death by a machine at his work place 2 week to his wedding day.

William was a mechanical specialist at Nile breweries Jinja plant. It’s said that he was cleaning the conveyor when the incident occurred.

The late william was to wed their daughter, Suzan Nanono, on 25th June 2016 whom he had a 1 year old daughter Wilona.

‘’On the day of the tragedy I had distributed 70 wedding invitation cards, but I was shocked to hear the sudden death of my son- in-law, that he is no more, I could not believe it but it was true’’…..said Mr. Mutesasira.

According to them, they were on the final preparations for the wedding of their children Suzan and William.

‘’My daughter had brought everything here, the maids dresses and shoes. She even fitted in the wedding gown, was about to pick it from the tailor. But this was a shock, but we are strong and believe that everything before God happens for a reason….said Mrs. Mutesasira.

As they are still grieving the death of their son-in-law, some members from the deceased’s family are looking forward to grabbing the house properties from the widow (daughter).

‘’ 2 days after we had buried the late William, my daughter called me and told me that there are some members who are interested in the house items saying that they belonged to their son, so as he is no more, it has to be given back to them. They even told her that she has a daughter, if it was a son, it would be better.

We are planning to shift her to our home here after all they have been renting, we cannot allow those relatives of the deceased to disturb her in this state of grief……said Mrs. Mutesasira.

We consoled, comforted and prayed with them and promised to always remember them in our daily prayers, they were happy for our visit.

Despite the fact that this incident happened to this family, they still have faith in God and believe that everything before God, happens for a reason.
